We had a wonderful day Saturday for Ty's birthday. In the morning, he opened cards from his grandparents and was so excited to get some spending money. I took him to breakfast at IHOP for his free Rooty Tooty Jr. After we ate, we went garage sale shopping and got some great presents with his money. He only spent $2.50, but bought 5 puzzles, blocks, an etch-a-sketch, and Top-It (normally $40). Some of the people gave him free toys too since he made sure to tell all of them that it was his birthday :) That afternoon we all went to see Nanny McPhee Returns and headed over to Chuck-E-Cheese. We had coupons for 50 free tokens (you can get 10/child for reading daily for 2 weeks by printing a chart off their website and 20 for a birthday child if you register your kids' birthdays with them). Alyssa made a cake for Ty with chocolate/marshmallow frosting for dessert. We still haven't done presents though... Maybe we'll save presents for when Doug comes out next week.
Tyler is doing well in school but writing some letters backwards or capitalized.
He brought home his first spelling test today:
basebll
reng
ant
klip
fethr
pom pom
boe (suppose to be a d)
vklip
bllrt
I'm still trying to figure out that last one...
He loves having his back scratched, sitting on my lap, reading stories, cooking, playing with friends, swimming, having me eat lunch with him at school, playing video games, getting tickles, learning and smiling. We are waiting on two teeth growing in. He's getting more freckles too. He likes haircuts where he can spike the front of his hair. He loves going to primary. I sure love him!
